Each year a Grand Marshal is chosen to be honored on July 4th. The Grand Marshal is awarded to a citizen of Lawrence Park who has made a positive impact on our community.

This year the Lawrence Park Historical Society led by Jim & Anna Mae Van Dyne has been selected as the parade’s Grand Marshal.

The Lawrence Park Historical Society is an all-volunteer organization which was formed in 1976 to collect and archive historical documents and ephemera pertaining to Lawrence Park Township and make them available to the public.

They have worked tirelessly to collect and catalog an amazing amount of documents, photographs, and artifacts – along with organizing lectures, workshops, and even walking tours to engage and educate the community about our history.

You can find them in their offices at 4230 Iroquois Avenue on Thursdays from 2-4 PM and Saturdays from 12-2 PM — but this 4th of July you will find them at the head of our parade on Main Street!
